Admission Procedure:

Admission has started in DPS Bilaspur chhattisgarh for the academic year 2013-14. Parents can collect registration from for Pre-Nursery, Nursery till 12th standard for Day Scholars and from standard 5th to 12 is for Boarders.








Age Criteria as on 1st April of the current year:

1. For Pre-Nursery: 2 ½ years.
2. For Nursery: 3 ½ years.
3. Prep: 4 ½ years.
4. Class I – 5 ½ yrs and so on.

Registration:

Forms are available on our website download it and fill up with clean handwriting and submit it within 7 days from the date of issue of form with non-refundable fees.
A copy of birth certificate must be attached with the registration form.

CMAT EXAM

CMAT EXAM 2013
Earlier before 2011 -12 mostly all the institute who conduct MBA in India use to conduct separate and individual entrance exam for getting admission in to their prestigious institutes. And, all the institute use to have different paper pattern, structure and syllabus for their test. So the students use to prepare for each test separately and could not concentrate on each exam precisely. 

Then AICTE, the so called All India council for Technical Education came up with new test namely CMAT that is Common Management Aptitude Test. So the basic question which arises in everyone’s mind is what is CMAT exam?  And why it’s been conducted?

CMAT is a computer base as well as Paper base format exam which is been held twice a year (one in September and the other in February) for getting admission into India’s top MBA colleges. There are nearly more than 4000 MBA colleges and around 500 Post Graduate diplomas in management Colleges which accept the scores of CMAT exam.

CMAT PAPER PATTERN
CMAT exam has a total of 4 sections in the paper namely
Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
Logical Reasoning
Language Comprehension
General Awareness
The test is conducted in two format - Paper base and Computer Base whichever is appropriate can be opted by the students. The entire paper holds 100 questions which mean each section carries 25 questions. You have to complete the paper within 180 minutes. So the average time behind one question is 1.8 minutes.

CMAT SCORING
The entire paper has multiple choice questions. Each correct answer rewards you 4 marks and each wrong answer will deduct -1 mark from your total score (negative marking). If you don’t attempt the question then you will be rewarded 0 marks for it. So if you don’t know the answer then it’s better not to answer it because if your answer goes wrong then 1 mark will be deducted from your paper.
The scores of exam will be valid for 2 years.

Those students who are appearing the final year of their bachelor’s degree are eligible to appear
OR
Those students who have completed their final year of their bachelor’s degree from any field are eligible for the test.

CMAT APPLICATION FEES
If you are from General or OBC grounds then you guys have to pay Rs. 1200 along with the bank charges which are nominal.
OR
If you belong from SC/ ST/PD grounds then you guys just have to pay Rs. 600 + Bank charges. Quite lucky ha.

HOW TO APPLY
You guys can pay the fees online by Credit Card/ Debit/ Card/Net Banking or you can pay directly by depositing CASH (no cheques/Demand Drafts) in any of the State bank of India Branch in your Locality.

CMAT ONLINE REGISTRATION DATE
The online registration for appearing CMAT exam begins 3 months prior to the exam and gets closed 1 month before the exam.

CMAT CENTERS

CMAT ADMIT CARD
You will be getting your admit card on 11th February 2013. Admit card will be available online after when it’s out, so you can download it and keep it with you during your exam. The admit card carries your name, roll number, test date, test center, reporting time at the venue, Venue Name and Address.

P.S. Without the admit card you won’t be allowed to appear or the exam, so you have to keep a copy of it with you during your exam. So don’t forget to get a attested copy of CMAT admit card and a recent passport size photo along with you.

Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation
This part of the exam is considered to be the toughest of all. The topics to be studied for Quantitative techniques are Number System, Percentages, Profit and Loss, Speed, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Averages, Simple and Compound Interest. Allegations and Mixtures, Complex Numbers, Inequalities, Permutation and Combination, Sets and Functions, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Ratio and proportion, Mensuration, Geometry.
While for Data Interpretation you have to cover questions based on Data Sufficiency.

Logical Reasoning
The Logical Reasoning is been further divided into Critical Reasoning and Visual Reasoning
Where in critical reasoning is based on Assumption-premise-conclusion based questions, Assertion and Reason based questions, Statements and Assumptions, Strong and Weak Arguments, Inference based questions, Cause and Effect based problems.
While Visual Reasoning is based on Linear Arrangements question, Family tree problems, Symbol based problems, Coding and Decoding questions, Sequencing problems, Series problems, Blood Relations, Direction sense questions.

Language Comprehension
This section has been further divided into two parts Vocabulary and English Usage/Grammar based.
The Vocabulary tests your knowledge of vocabulary like Antonyms, Synonyms, and Multiple Usage words and English Usage/Grammar tests your comprehension passages, sentence correction, sentence completion, fill in the blanks, idiom based questions, para-jumbles, odd one out etc.

General Awareness
In General Awareness you are been tested  on your  current affairs in India and Abroad relating to National, International, Science and Technology, Corporate, Economy, Sports, Awards, Books and Authors, Environment, Personality, Abbreviations etc.

CMAT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA



Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses can apply for CMAT.
1 Management (PGDM, MBA and similar)
Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination 
2 Management (PGCM)
Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration 
3 Management (Executive PGDM)
Any recognized Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration and a minimum of 5 years relevant managerial / supervisory experience. 

P.S. The eligibility criteria for admission to Management programs (Diploma and Post Graduation) is as mentioned above. 

CMAT INSTRUCTIONS


In CMAT Computer based test, the student can click the correct answer. The computer based test has certain navigation rules 
  • To start the test then students can click START TEST button.
  • To answer the next question the student can click on NEXT button.
  • To go back to the previous question you can click on PREVIOUS Button.
  • To mark the question to attempt /review later you can click on FLAG button
  • To unflag the question you can click on UNFLAG button
  • To submit the answer after completing the test you can click on SUBMIT button
  • To deselect the answer which you have marked you can click on DESELECT button.


While appearing for the exam please keep an eye over the time which is left for completing the paper.
